37 year-old-man patient presented with RTC with chest &abdominal pain. HR 120 B/M. BP 85/55. O2 Sat 93% ON 15L/min on non-rebreather mask with reservoir.
A.What are your (2) interventions? (1mark)
B.Give (2) causes of Shock in FAST? (1mark)

Assess and secure the airway – Treat any associated life-threatening injuries
Insert 2 wide bore ( > 16G) IV lines-Send blood for U&E, glucose, FBC, clotting screen, and cross-matching-Give IV fluids according to initial evidence of hypovolaemia and response to treatment.

1-Rupture Spleen.
2-Rupture Liver.
3-Small bowel injury.

Give blood ± blood products early if unstable.
Provide IV analgesia as necessary
refer to surgical team
